Liquid Sample Testing

Dip the slide into the testing liquid and ensure that the media surface is completely immersed in the liquid. Hold the slide for 20-25 seconds in the testing liquid. Shake the slide 3-4 times gently to remove excess water. Keep the slide back into the tube and close it.

Labelling

Fill the labels and stick it on the tube, make sure it is stuck right from the bottom rim of the tube with arrow side downwards.

04

Incubation

Incubate MicrocheckTM at a suitable temperature. If an incubator (37 oC) is not available keep the slide in warm place e.g. drawer, wrapped in a blanket or behind electrical appliances like refrigerators, Ovens etc.

The growth of colonies depends upon different parameters like bacterial species, the growth phase of bacteria etc. Using MicrocheckTM it will take around 12 to 24 hours to produce colonies. For Yeast & Fungi it will take around 72 to 120 hours to produce colonies.

Interpretation of Results

After incubation, compare the density of the colonies grown on the media surface with the density charts provided. There is no need to count the number of colonies during comparison.
